Saturn Return
The structural rewrite of your life · what it is, when it arrives, and how to move through it well.
Saturn Return is the astrological transit when Saturn returns to its exact natal position, occurring roughly every 27 to 30 years. For women it marks a structural rite of passage: the First Return between ages 27 and 31 and the Second Return between ages 56 and 60. It's one of the most consistent psychological turning points in adult life, captured by astrologers for centuries and increasingly studied by developmental psychologists.
The four phases
01
Ages 26-27 / 55-56
The Approach
Discomfort begins. The life you've built starts to feel like a costume that no longer fits. You may not be able to name what's wrong, just that something is.
02
Ages 27-29 / 56-58
The Dismantling
Active deconstruction. Relationships end, careers pivot, locations change, identities shed. Saturn shows you what was built on borrowed foundations.
03
Ages 29-30 / 58-59
The Reckoning
The eye of the storm. You're asked to make decisions you can't undo, to commit to what's actually yours and let the rest go fully.
04
Ages 30-31 / 59-60
The Maturation
Integration. The new structure begins to settle. You feel older, steadier, more sovereign. The work isn't over but the wave has passed.
