Sister Circles
The ancient practice of being witnessed · why women have always gathered in circles, and what happens when we do.
A Sister Circle is a small, recurring gathering of women who meet to be witnessed without being fixed. It's a practice, not a service, not a class. Each woman shares from her actual life, others listen without advising, and the act of being heard does the work. Forms of this practice exist in nearly every traditional culture on earth, from Indigenous moon lodges to Quaker meetings.
The shape of a circle

Opening
A brief grounding · a moment of silence, a candle, a single intention. The circle marks itself as different from ordinary time.

Shares
Each woman speaks uninterrupted for a set time. No advice. No problem-solving. Just her actual life as it is right now.

Reflections
Others mirror back what they heard: the feeling, the resonance, the pattern. Never the fix. The mirror is the medicine.

Closing
A brief acknowledgement. The circle is intentionally closed so the container doesn't leak into ordinary life.
